Call for abstracts: International Coral Reef Symposium

Get ready for the International Coral Reef Symposium in Auckland—now less than ten months away. Our session, “eDNA as a monitoring tool in coral reef environments,” forms part of Theme 5 on large-scale reef monitoring and assessment. We welcome presentations showcasing how eDNA and eRNA can advance biodiversity surveys, species detection (including nuisance, indicator, and fisheries species), and population estimation. Contributions on emerging applications—such as ancient eDNA, gut-content analysis, and faecal material—are also encouraged. Join us as we highlight innovative molecular approaches shaping the future of coral reef science.

Session convenors: Sven Uthicke | K-le Gomez Cabrera | Michael Stat | Luke Thomas
