Job opportunity: Postdoc biodiversity and ecosystem monitoring

The Department of Biology at Aarhus University is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher for a 2-year position focused on environmental DNA (eDNA) analysis and ecosystem monitoring. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that analyse biodiversity and ecological functions across various ecosystems.

The successful candidate will manage their research projects, coordinate with team members, and engage in training and co-supervising staff and students. The project involves:

  • Conducting high-throughput eDNA analyses across diverse ecosystems (coasts, rivers, grasslands).
  • Utilizing advanced sequencing technology to assess biodiversity and ecological interactions.
  • Analyzing biodiversity responses to anthropogenic stressors and integrating eDNA data into ecological assessments.
  • Collaborating on developing novel research ideas within the fields of environmental DNA and molecular ecology.
