Survey: Australian DNA reference library

Do you work with marine invertebrates and macroalgae? Have your say about the development of a reference sequence library for Australian species.

The NBDL is a CSIRO-led, multi-partner initiative that will provide comprehensive reference sequences to support DNA-based identification of Australian species, starting with marine taxa. We are currently working to generate whole mtDNA genomes and nuclear ribosomal sequences for all described species of Australian marine vertebrates.

Our next high priority will be a focus on marine invertebrates and macroalgae.

The NBDL would like to learn more about your needs and preferences for DNA reference sequences for these groups, to support their work in Australian marine ecosystems.

Have your say in this short survey, which closes on the 11 Sept 2023.
