Cawthron Institute is looking for an environmental DNA (eDNA) Senior Scientist to join their awesome molecular surveillance team at the Cawthron Institute in beautiful sunny Nelson – top of the South Island, Aotearoa New Zealand.
The role will involve both primary and applied research, and consulting, related to environmental DNA & RNA tools, with a particular focus on applications in aquatic biosecurity and environmental monitoring. The work may also extend to terrestrial habitats. As we are seeking applications from senior scientists, you will lead the delivery of research projects and programmes. This will involve developing ideas, leading or contributing to proposals, and securing funds that promote Cawthron’s objectives for scientific impact.
